Set on a sun-drenched ridge of the Esterel mountain range, it offers superb views over the Bay of Cannes and the Lérins Islands. Between pine and cork oak forests, you can take advantage of the proximity of the Saint-Cassien and Avellan lakes to refresh yourself while enjoying fishing and water sports.

The Esterel mountains boast 32,000 hectares of natural areas, almost half of which are classified as ‘Natura 2000’, as well as numerous trails for sports enthusiasts and nature lovers: mountain bikers, hikers, horse riders and rock-climbers. Superb landscapes cut by majestic red volcanic rocks, with steep coves plunging into the Mediterranean Sea.

You can immerse yourself in this superb scenery by taking the 200km coastal path, which is divided into two sections: from Issambres to Saint-Aygulf, then on to the commune of Saint-Raphaël.

Just 15 minutes from the hotel, Fréjus, a Town of Art and History, boasts a rich architectural heritage: Roman remains including an amphitheatre, a theatre and an aqueduct, and remarkable buildings such as the Sainte-Léonce cathedral, the octagonal baptistery, the episcopal palace and the Romanesque cloister... Fréjus is also a renowned seaside resort with its marina and fine sandy beaches.

Nearby is Saint-Raphaël, with its basilica, cobbled streets, ramparts, unmissable flower market and, of course, its many beaches: d'Agay, de la Baumette, the Maubois calanque...

You'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to discovering the Var on your next holiday, with its stunning inland landscapes (the Blavet Gorges, the Roquebrune rock, and more), hilltop villages (Bagnols-en-Forêt, Callian, Fayence, Mons, Montauroux, ...), exceptional coastlines (the Corniche d'Or, the Agay roadstead, ...) and, of course, the must-see coastal towns of Cannes and Saint-Tropez....
